Ban list of sites that require Internet Explorer...Web posted on December 28, 2004 at 02:24 I switched browsers to Firefox for security reasons recently. Needless to say, I'm hooked. If you want to check it out, check out the button on the left that says "Safer, Faster, Better." However, what pisses me off are sites that force you to use IE, when the browser is so riddled with security holes and exploits it's like trying to stop a flood with a chain link fence. While other browsers are standards-compliant (Netscape 6.x and up (Mozilla), Firefox, Opera, Konqueror, and Safari), IE chooses to render pages the way they want to... errors and all. Plus they can't let go of the biggest security problem... ActiveX. My thoughts is that sites should be viewable in all browsers. This site, as well as sites I work on, are viewable in all browsers with little/no differences. No site should force you to use a browser, including one that is like swiss cheese. So, I am creating a ban list of sites that force you to use IE in hopes to get them to rethink things... Send me an e-mail through this form and give me any further sites...
