Analysis of Poor Design and Service
Web posted on May 15, 2003 at 00:26
I went to somethingawful.com, and came across this site...
CMR Designz
They were lampooning it for some of the site's features (like it's name, the fact the "president" puts his MS Outlook calendar up complete with his schedule), a list of possible services as well as a list of clients with no verifiable credentials.
If you're asking (since I have a "consulting" page on my site listing my services), no I'm not jealous of them. I'm a professional with the credentials and experience. However, for the sake of discussion, I have compared their services to three other businesses in Michigan. The only one I have personal connections to is Digilink, as I worked for them until 2000. However, I am well aware of the capabilities of these businesses and I know that they know of the necessary standards for their given specialty to guarantee much more accurate service.

Note: Think before you choose your professional when it comes to these. They have a very long way to go. By the way, I've never seen such misuse of Flash and Frames in my life! I've also never seen such disregard for meaningful page titles and even page names (untitled document and UntitledFrameset-x.htm). Their photos page is crap and even his resume needs a lot of formatting work.
This has been a public service rambling, by me.
Update (8/20/04): The site is currently down... that's too awesome!
