I'm thinking of George Dickel, Jack Daniel, John Labatt, and John Molson.

Dickel and Daniel's makes wiskey (Dickel is famous for the bottle that was passed of as Saurian Brandy on Star Trek). The John's made beer in Canada.

I'm glad I moved to Tennessee to get the whiskey distiller POV.
